Creating Solid Model of Perrinn F1 for CFD Simulations

Perrinn Team shares the design of their F1 car.

I made a two-solid model (rear wing assy, and the rest of the body) from the STP file on their server (http://www.perrinn.com/server/).

The STP data consists of many solids so I extracted the outer surfaces and filled some air intakes, small gaps to make a closed big solid.

Pictures below show how the resulting model is like.

Resulting Two-Solid Model

Closed Air Intake for the Engine

Closed Inlet of the Radiator Duct

Closed Outlets
(The thickness of the Engine Cowl is increased from 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm)

Filled Gap between the Brake Duct and the Wheel Rim

And as usual, I made a watertight STL file.

In the STL file below, the model is divided into 4 individual tyres (including wheels) and the rest including the rear wing assy.

STL file of the Resulting Model
Green: Body and Rear Wing Assy
Black: FL Tyre & Wheel
Blue: FR Tyre & Wheel
Red: RL Tyre & Wheel
Lavender: RR Tyre & Wheel

The STL file above is shared in my File Storage.
